We’re excited to announce a major upgrade at Roxy Cinema New York! We’ve installed Dolby Atmos, bringing immersive, three-dimensional sound to every seat in the house.

Unlike traditional surround sound, Dolby Atmos adds height and depth, allowing sound to move freely around and above the audience. Whether it’s rain falling from the sky or a plane flying overhead, Atmos makes you feel like you’re inside the story.

As an independent theatre, we’re always looking for ways to create a better experience for our audience. This upgrade allows us to offer the kind of audio experience once limited to large multiplexes — while maintaining the personality, intimacy, and community focus that defines who we are.
