Owen Kline on Making Movies

2022 will always be a special year for Owen Kline. He made his directorial debut with Funny Pages, a movie he also wrote and worked on for several years before its premiere at The Cannes Film Festival. In honor of this release, Roxy Cinema New York  programmed an entire series with Owen that included a film directed by his grandfather, Joseph Cates, titled Who Killed Teddybear. As a part of the series, Owen sat down with acclaimed critic Amy Taubin and had an enlightening conversation about the creative process of filmmaking, where he derives inspiration from, and his growing up in the business with parents Phoebe Cates and Kevin Kline.
