NEW ROSE HOTEL by ABEL FERRARA SPECIAL SCREENING
92 minutes
Followed by conversation with Abel Ferrara and Stephanie LaCava
Abel Ferrara’s New Rose Hotel is a cyber-noir following two corporate fixers who recruit a captivating singer to lure a brilliant scientist from a rival conglomerate. Desire, money, and shifting loyalties turn a clean extraction into a dangerous cat-and-mouse. Adapted from William Gibson, it’s a tense study of allure and betrayal.
Both Ferrara’s New Rose Hotel and LaCava’s latest novel Nymph share a deep thematic fascination with desire, power, and the fragility of intimacy, exploring characters who navigate covert worlds where violence, seduction, and betrayal become forms of currency. Screening will be followed by a dialogue between Abel Ferrara and Stephanie LaCava.
