Buy TicketsSynth History’s ‘Iconic Scores’ screening series is coming to New York! The series highlights pioneering composers who propelled the synthesizer, from Wendy Carlos and John Carpenter, to Goblin and Vangelis. Dario Argento’s Inferno (1980) features a score by the late great, Keith Emerson, synthesizer pioneer and founder of the progressive rock group, Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Vastly different from Goblin’s usual scores for Argento films, you might be surprised at what you hear! Keith Emerson is famous for performing with a customized “Monster Moog” modular synth, which stood approximately 10 feet tall and weighed 550 pounds! It was displayed at The MET as part of the “Play It Loud” exhibit in 2019.
